In preparation for the March for Our Lives: Road to Change bus tour, pro-gun activist David Hogg posed for a picture while wearing a National Rifle Association (NRA) hat.
Fellow activist Cameron Kasky tweeted that the reason Hogg wore the hat is to connect with “his fellow NRA members who love the second amendment but believe in new common sense laws”:

Hogg has made it clear he wants to work with NRA members who agree with him:
As I now forced NRA member with multiple memberships I ask @DLoesch to please support Universal Background Checks. 80% of us NRA members support universal Background checks, so why don’t you?.

I’ve never said NRA members are bad people they are not in fact they are politically active individuals that want to be safe gun owners that’s amazing the issue is people at the top of the NRA that continue to only want to sell more guns reguardless of who gets them

I don’t agree. We can’t marginalize a group most nra members are people that are trying to be safe gun owners and politically active citizens when you make statements like that it only divides us more and slows us from making progress to save lives

According to its website, the bus tour is to also register people to vote.
“At each stop, we’ll register young people to vote and educate them on the reforms we need to save lives, and whether their local candidates and elected officials support these reforms or support the NRA,” the site noted.
