The new Fortnite map update appears to transform Tilted Towers, Dusty Divot, and more. This is all according to the new datamine leak.
A new Fortnite map update appears to be coming soon, if recently datamined files are to be believed. Following the latest updates to Fortnite, a dependable crew of dataminers got to working through the update game files, hunting for upcoming cosmetic items, new gameplay features, and more. During this hunt, a brand new Fortnite map update was found, with many significant changes hinting at what will unfold during the conclusion of Season 4, and other tweaks that will shake up how certain parts of the map play.
The new Fortnite map update was uncovered by the trusty dataminer @TwoEpicBuddies, who tweeted out a full 8K resolution image of the new map. The enormous size of the map allows for detailed zoom-in shots of the various named places and points of interest.
Those familiar with the ridiculously popular Tilted Towers, which is renowned for being the fan-favorite landing place for those who want instant action (and usually instant death), will notice a new building, which some are theorizing could be home to a rocket… Yes, it seems people still think Tilted Towers is going to be completely destroyed. Perhaps that will happen in Season 5?
In addition to the many other small tweaks, trees have been added to the Dusty Divot crater. This used to be a blank space with next to no cover. Now players will be able to land in the Dusty Divot, loot and get what kills they can, and then leave using the foliage to hide their escape.
There are many other changes coming in the new Fortnite map update. These all point towards some kind of climactic finish at the end of Season 4, which will shape the battlefield for the next chapter during Season 5. It still isn’t clear what exactly is going to happen, but it’s sure to be something big!
