Sprint to offer free data on Snapdragon 835-powered PCs from Asus, HP and Lenovo this year

Users of the HP Envy X2, Lenovo Miix 630, and Asus NovaGo Windows 10 PCs powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset will be able to avail of the free data offering from Sprint through 2018.
At the ongoing Computex 2018 expo in Taipei, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 850 Mobile Computer Platform designed to provide always-connected Windows 10 PCs to mobile consumers. The platform promises a 30% performance upgrade, 20% battery life improvement, and a 20% 4G LTE speed boost. However, devices equipped with this chipset won’t be shipping until the holiday season this year.
Nonetheless, Qualcomm wants to transform the personal computing experience for mobile users this early with a new data plan, courtesy of the chip-making giant’s new partnership with Sprint. As part of the tie-up, the two companies will provide customers free unlimited data on the Snapdragon 835-powered PCs manufactured by Asus, Lenovo, and HP. These PCs are the HP Envy X2, Lenovo Miix 630, and the Asus NovaGo.
Joe Glynn, vice president of business development at Qualcomm, said:
Keep in mind, though, that the free data will be available only through 2018 to those who sign up for AutoPay with the wireless carrier.
