This London protest has been blown way out of proportion.
Due to the increasing amount of protests worldwide, organizers of a London-based event are being forced to become more creative in order to gain attention.
The group has raised over £18,000 and gained over 10,000 petition signatures to fly a six-meter-tall “Trump Baby” balloon in Parliament Square Garden during President Donald Trump’s first official visit to the United Kingdom.

However, in order for it to fly, the group had to receive approval from London Mayor Sadiq Khan. He initially refused but changed his mind after thousands signed the petition.
HUGE news coming in: DONALD J TRUMP BABY WILL FLY! @SadiqKhan tried to play hard ball – in the end he had to make a Deal. No surprise – he’s never won anything in his life! Sad – but True! London here I come! https://t.co/j3KCPimHI2 pic.twitter.com/oc2VKWKSN1

The balloon features the president in a diaper and holding a cellphone, and the petition claims the balloon will let the president know that the U. K. is making fun of his actions.
The mayor’s spokesperson claimed it was simply a matter of free speech.

“The mayor supports the right to peaceful protest and understands that this can take many different forms,” the spokesperson said in a statement . “His city operations team have met with the organisers and have given them permission to use Parliament Square Garden as a grounding point for the blimp.”
Trump and Khan’s past Twitter feuds do not seem to be a deciding factor in this situation, although Khan has been extremely outspoken concerning his disapproval of Trump’s visit.
The president is scheduled to arrive in the U. K. on July 13, but he has not yet commented on “Trump Baby.”
