This is a bold claim indeed by NPD’s Mat Pistacella has predicted that Red Dead Redemption 2 will become the best selling game of 2018.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Battlefield V, NBA 2K19 and Far Cry 5 respectively. While this is a bold claim would you really be surprised if Red Dead Redemption 2 beat the competition? It is a Rockstar game after all. According to Pistacella:
That is not the only claim that he made. He also predicted that with the new Pokemon games coming out, Nintendo Switch will become the best selling console of 2018. This would make sense as Pokemon is indeed a console seller and the PS4 and Xbox One have been out for a long time now. The people that wanted a current generation console already have one.
