The Japanese Olympic Committee said Monday that it has disqualified four basketball players from the ongoing 18th Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, for allegedly violating the code of behavior at international multisport event.
The Japanese Olympic Committee said Monday that it has disqualified four basketball players from the ongoing 18th Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, for allegedly violating the code of behavior at international multisport event.
The four players were stripped of their membership of the Japanese delegation, effective Sunday. They have already left the athletes village to return home. According to the committee, from Thursday night to early Friday morning, wearing the official uniform of the Japanese team, the four–Yuya Nagayoshi, Takuya Hashimoto, Takuma Sato and Keita Imamura–visited a bar in Jakarta where hostesses serve and acted indecently with them in a hotel afterward.
