Man killed, wife seriously injured after truck turns in motorcycle's path

PAVILION TOWNSHIP, MI — A Climax man was killed and his wife was seriously injured Thursday when a pickup truck turned in front of their motorcycle.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash at South Sprinkle Road near East S Avenue in Pavilion Township at 8:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30.
Investigating officers determined a northbound pickup truck driven by Alma Maud Simpson-Lodge, 81, of Fulton, turned left into the path of a southbound motorcycle, according to a Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office press release.
The driver of the motorcycle, Todd Allen Pryor, 50, of Climax, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Judy Ann Pryor, 58, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital with serious injuries.
Simpson-Lodge was taken to Borgess Medical Center with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
