The death toll from a magnitude 6.7 earthquake which struck Japan has risen to 37.
The country’s Fire and Disaster Management Agency has confirmed more than 400 other people are also injured following Thursday morning’s dramatic events.
Roads collapsed in the drama, prompting landslides which buried homes and other buildings.
At least two people are still reported missing.
