The Honor 8X will feature a large 6.5-inch display with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Interestingly, the Honor 8X will sport a “Water Drop” notch that will house just the selfie camera. Apparently, Honor is following the latest OPPO F9 series smartphones for this design aspect.
The processor powering the Honor 8X and the 8X Max aren’t confirmed yet. Honor may most likely embed Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC. However, the company may also opt for Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor. The budget Android phablet could come in two configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. For further expansion, the smartphone is likely to come with Hybrid Dual-SIM slots. Today’s launch should confirm the exact specifications.
The Honor 8X will have a 20MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with a host of AI enhancements. The phablet may have a 16MP snapper on the front. A sufficiently large 3,650mAh capacity battery with fast charging support will power the smartphone. The device will also have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone will most likely run on the Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2 version out of the box at launch. The smartphone will arrive in Black, Red, Blue, and Light Purple color options.
The Honor 8X Max is the bigger variant in the 8X Series. It will sport a 7.12-inch display with 1080 x 2244 Full HD+ resolution. The phablet will have the same water drop notch design, due to which the screen-to-body ratio touches 90 percent.

According to a pre-order listing on VMall, the smartphone will be available in two memory configurations – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage.
