You really can’t expect a highly anticipated console like the Neo Geo Mini to stay in stock forever. The console purchase page went live today, only to sell out a short while later.
The Neo Geo Mini was first teased back in April and eventually made its debut in Japan some months later. Now, it looks like the game console is available for pre-order in Europe but has already sold out through Amazon in the United States.
If you live in the United States and decided to leave your email in the provided field on Amazon’s website to be notified about pre-ordering the console, you might have spotted the email in your inbox today around 3pm PT. It doesn’t take much time for a highly anticipated console to sell out, and this was the case for the Neo Geo Mini.
If you are just now checking your inbox and heading to the site, you’ll see that the console is now sold out. It is unknown at this point whether there will be a restock but seeing as how the resale of these units isn’t all that bad, you can always purchase one from eBay, where you’ll be expected to pay an additional $20 to 40 dollars above retail.
