After introducing the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti’s features and its availability date last month, Nvidia has moved the GPU’s release date to September 27, from the previous date of September 20.
Last month, Nvidia announced during its gamescom event the company’s latest GPUs, the GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti. The company also promised that the new graphics cards will go on sale on September 20. However, that may not be the case for the RTX 2080 Ti.
The company has now moved to delay the GPU’s availability by one week, per a post made by community moderator ericnvidia80:
The delay does not come as a surprise. Consumers had the opportunity to preorder the GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti since they were announced, however, some custom versions of the latter like the 2080 Ti Founders Edition ran out of stock even before the GPU became officially available for purchase.
For now, consumers will have to wait a bit longer before they will be able to get their hands on the RTX 2080 Ti; keep in mind, though, that the RTX 2080 GPUs will be released as scheduled.
