Sony Music CEO Clive Davis dined at Bella Piatti while he was in Detroit last week for Aretha Franklin ’s homegoing ceremonies. Davis spoke at the funeral, reminiscing about the three-decades-plus relationship he had with the Queen of Soul. This week on a New York radio station, he announced that he’s producing an Aretha Franklin Tribute Concert at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 14. He stayed at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham and came to Bella Piatti with two associates, where he chatted with owner Nino Cutraro. He wore a black suit with a black shirt and gold and black necktie and pocket square. He dined on grilled eggplant rolls, linguini with clams and the poached pear salad.
