Art is imitating life for Ben Affleck.
The actor, 46, is back to work after a stint in rehab, starring as a former addict in the upcoming film, “Torrance.”
He was spotted on set in Los Angeles on Tuesday alongside actress Janina Gavankar who is said to play his ex-wife in the film.
According to IMDB, Affleck will play a “former basketball all-star,” who has lost his “family foundation in a struggle with addiction, and attempts to comeback by becoming the coach of a disparate ethnically mixed high school basketball team at his alma mater.”
Off-camera Affleck recently completed a 40-day stint in rehab after his ex-wife Jennifer Garner staged an intervention. She also drove him to the treatment facility.
The former couple also finalized their divorce in October and Affleck split from his younger girlfriend, Shauna Sexton, shortly after.
“Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle,” he wrote on Instagram after his time in rehab. “Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family. So many people have reached out on social media and spoken about their own journeys with addiction. To those people, I want to say thank you.”
The film is in pre-production.
