The Nokia 6.1 Plus ( review) is currently being sold in India but that does not mean HMD Global has launched it in other markets. Thanks to the latest teaser that has been shared on Twitter, the Nokia 6.1 Plus could very well be seeing a launch taking place tomorrow at an event that will be held in London.
While the tweet does not state which exact smartphone is going to be launched, a tagline reveals most of the details. The handset in question is not just affordable but also comes with a premium build and decent hardware specifications. Here are more details that were shared via the teaser.
On the Nokia Mobile Twitter account, there are several taglines that were shared through an animation. While lots of these taglines signify that the smartphone will have an impressive camera, there is one that managed to catch our eye.
One tagline says ‘Stand out and tell your story’. Keep in mind that the Nokia Mobile Twitter account did not share which smartphone was going to be launched tomorrow. It only shows a series of marketing taglines as well as a date for tomorrow. Still, we were able to figure this out because the tagline had been used before to describe the Nokia 6.1 Plus, and this has ended up being a massive clue.
HMD Global is doing the right entering the European market. With companies like Huawei and OPPO starting to make their mark in this region, Nokia-branded smartphones have some strong features of their own. Firstly, these devices are very affordable for the money, and they come with decent hardware specifications coupled with features that buyers actually want to use on a daily basis.
Also, their designs have improved drastically, which will help catch the eyes of several customers. There is also a chance that the Nokia 5.1 Plus is launched tomorrow so if there are buyers that do not want to grab a Nokia 6.1 Plus, they can also pick the former. Since this is an Android One device, it will deliver a smooth UI and present users with timely software and security updates.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus has a large 5.8-inch screen with a notch at the top, and it is armed with a Snapdragon 636. The base model of the smartphone features 3GB RAM + 32GB of internal memory. The top-end model features up to 6GB RAM and 64GB of onboard memory, with the storage capable of getting expanded via microSD card slot. The dual-camera is a 16MP+5MP unit that can capture images with a Bokeh effect, and there is a 16MP front-facing selfie shooter. The charging of the phone takes place via Type-C USB port, and there is a 3060mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0.
