The limited-edition console makes the ‘bong’ sound heard at the end of Taco Bell commercials when turned on and features an exclusive monochromatic color scheme.
There’s a new limited-edition Xbox One X coming very soon, but it won’t be found at GameStop, Best Buy, or any other retail store. Instead, the eye-catching platinum-colored Xbox One X will be a Taco Bell-exclusive, available only to those who win Taco Bell’s latest giveaway.
Starting tomorrow, anyone who orders a $5 Double Chalupa Box before November 22 will be entered to win an exclusive Xbox One X console, complete with a White Special Edition Xbox Elite Wireless Controller and three months of Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. Every Chalupa Box ordered throughout the giveaway is equal to one entry.
The limited-edition console’s monochromatic color scheme can be seen in the promotional image, however that isn’t the only thing separating this Xbox One X from every other version. When powered on, this Xbox makes the familiar “bong” sound heard at the end of Taco Bell commercials. Whether that’s a benefit or deterrent is up to individual preference.
As detailed in a press release put out by Xbox, one limited-edition Xbox One X package will be awarded every 10 minutes, meaning Taco Bell will be giving away more than 5,000 Xbox One X consoles throughout the course of the giveaway. Keep in mind, there are more than 5,000 Taco Bell locations in the US alone, so the odds of winning are still relatively slim.
It’s a good time to own an Xbox One X, as many games are enhanced to look and perform better by taking advantage of the console’s advanced processing power and graphics card. For instance, the highly-anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 will run in native 4K resolution on the Xbox One X.
Still, instead of running to Taco Bell and ordering as many Chalupa Boxes as possible, it may be better for your arteries to save up for a good bundle or hold out for a Black Friday deal.
