We’ve only listed the retailers who have confirmed that there will be discounts on Fitbit products. At the time of writing, there are no confirmed Amazon deals, but that’s clearly likely to change on the day itself—you just need to keep your eyes peeled.
It also wouldn’t be a surprise to see Fitbit itself get involved in the action; the company has done so in previous years. Again though, there is still no official word.
The Fitbit Ionic was the company’s first foray into the world of smartwatches. It’s more than a mere fitness tracker.
In addition to typical activity tracking functionality, the device can also track your sleep, monitor your heart rate, and suggest workouts. From a smart standpoint, there’s access to apps, the ability to store music, call and text notifications, calendar alerts, and support for Fitbit Pay.
Sadly, we thought the smartwatch capabilities were underwhelming when we reviewed the Ionic.
We already know Kohl’s is going to offer a $60 discount, dropping the price down from $259 to $199. The deal won’t show up on Kohl’s website until November 19. You’ll only find the deal in stores on Black Friday itself.
Last year, Amazon sold the Fitbit Ionic for $250 on Black Friday. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the retailer will match Kohl’s and sell it for around $200 this year.
The Fitbit Charge 3 is arguably the best fitness tracker on the market right now. It was announced in August 2018 and has only been on sale since October 2018.
It has a larger screen than its predecessor and supports the usual array of fitness tracking, workout calculators, and sleep trackers. There’s also a heart rate monitor and support for connected GPS.
The Charge 3 has the same launch price—$149—as the Charge 2, so even without Black Friday discounts the tracker still represents excellent value for money.
Sadly, because the product is so new, you won’t see the huge discounts that you might find on other Fitbit products.
Nonetheless, we know Target, JC Penney, and Kohl’s are all planning to offer the Charge 3 for $199; it’s a $30 discount.
You can definitely expect to see deals on Amazon too. The Charge 3 is sure to be a big seller in the run-up to Christmas and Fitbit will probably give it an extra push.
The Fitbit Versa is the successor to the now discontinued Fitbit Blaze.
The Versa is smartwatch; it’s essentially a cheaper version of the Ionic. However, despite its lower price point, it seems many consumers view the Versa more favorably than its big brother. The watch has a slimmer profile, lighter weight, and has a longer battery life.
The most significant difference between the Versa and the Ionic is the GPS tracker. If you want to plot your routes using the Versa, you’ll need to run with your smartphone in your pocket.
The Versa normally retails for $199. However, there are already a few great Black Friday deals we know about. You’ll be able to save $50 and buy the Versa for $149 at Walmart, Kohl’s, JC Penney, Target, and Meijer.
You will also be able to pick up the Versa Special Edition at Meijer for $179 instead of $229. In the U. S., you need the Special Edition model to use Fitbit Pay. Elsewhere in the world, it is part of the regular model.
The next set of Fitbit Black Friday deals we’ll look at is for the Alta HR. In the same way that the Versa is a cheaper version of the Ionic smartwatch, the Alta HR is a cheaper version of the Charge 3 fitness band.
It’s slimmer and lighter than the Charge 3 but has slightly fewer features. You will be forgoing female health tracking, the staircase tracker, swim tracking and multi-sport tracking, and connected GPS.
If you want to buy the Fitbit Alta HR on Black Friday, turn your attention to Target, Kohl’s, and Meijer. All three will sell the device for $79—a $50 discount.
We’re also likely to see some deals on the Alta HR on Amazon. The company has frequently been offering the $129 device for $99 throughout 2018, so we’re likely to see at least the same $30 discount on Black Friday.
If you don’t need heart rate monitoring capabilities, the Fitbit Alta is an even cheaper alternative. Aside from heart rate tracking, the only difference between the Alta and the Alta HR is the lack of sleep stages tracking (you can still monitor your broad sleep patterns).
The Alta usually sells for $99, but you will be able to buy it for $59 at Target on Black Friday.
