Destiny 2 players sick of seeing Hollowed Lair on their Nightfall rotation every week can rest assured that Bungie is currently looking into the cause of this issue.
Players who logged into Destiny 2 after the weekly reset today were surprised to see the Hollowed Lair Nightfall Strike available once again. Due to what is likely an issue with the weekly rotation, this particular Nightfall has remained for several weeks now. Today, Bungie confirms it is investigating the situation.
Nightfall Strikes in Destiny 2 not only offer brave Guardians a greater challenge, but also greater rewards. Each week, players have a shot at scoring powerful equipment and exclusive rewards depending on which Nightfall is available. When the same Nightfall is available every week, it gives players less of a chance at different rewards. Some players are also hoping for new strikes so that they can complete their Triumphs and Titles.
There has been a lot of grumbling online about the repeats, but no action on Bungie’s part has been seen. One disgruntled player reached out to Bungie’s community manager, Cozmo, through Twitter, alerting him of the issue. He responded, confirming that the appropriate people were “looking into it”.
Players can now rest easy knowing Bungie is in the midst of dealing with the problem. Hopefully, it can be resolved before next week’s reset because Guardians have clearly had their fill of Hollowed Lair. Many are hoping Strange Terrain makes its way back around, so they can nab the Braytech Osprey, a very popular and rare legendary rocket launcher.

Until the rotations are smoothed out, it is worth your time to stop by the Eververse store and peruse the special, limited-time offers in stock this week. From now until next Tuesday, The Temporal Surge will allow players to purchase Year 1 emotes for Silver. There are plenty to choose from, including a lot of longtime favorites that aren’t available anymore. If you miss this run, worry not. Players can catch it again at a later date, as Bungie has confirmed the Temporal Surge will be returning in the future.
Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
