Microsoft finally showcased Wrecking Zone, the Azure cloud powered destructive multiplayer mode for Crackdown 3, at the X018 event.
Microsoft finally showcased Wrecking Zone, the highly anticipated Azure cloud-powered destructive multiplayer mode for Crackdown 3. Joseph Staten, Senior Creative Director for Microsoft Studios Global Publishing, appeared on stage to talk briefly about it.
Wrecking Zone will pit two teams of five players each against each other in the fully destructible environment that was originally promised. Check out the gameplay trailer below; the mode is playable on the show floor of the X018 event, so there might be additional footage coming out from attendees.

The game will be available on February 15th, 2019 for Windows 10 PC and Xbox One, one week before the previous release date of February 22nd. This was likely done to avoid hitting the same launch date of Metro Exodus and Anthem.
It will also be included with the Xbox Game Pass subscription.
