The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 flagship smartphone may have a ‘budget’ variant as well. It is rumoured to have the same processor as it’s flagship sibling among other features. Check it out.
While the media is abuzz with Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone that is scheduled to arrive next year, a part of limelight has been grabbed by the next flagship – Galaxy S10 — as well. There are several features that are being tipped for the S10, however, a tipster has indicated the existence of a lower priced variant as well. The handset in question doesn’t have a particular name yet but according to few reports online, it is being termed as Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite.
The tipster named @VenyaGeskin1 says that the budget version of the Galaxy S10 will sport the flat ‘Infinity-O’ display. This means it could also be the first in line to get the particular display tech. Samsung showcased different ‘Infinity-O’ displays few days ago at its developer conference. In addition, the handset is supposed to feature ‘dual camera’ which is vague at the best right now.
One can also expect a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for the Galaxy S10 ‘Lite’. This is not new for Samsung as it has already implementing side-mounted fingerprint sensor in its recently launched W2019 flip phone.
Performance-wise it could be on the same level as the Galaxy S10 as it is said to sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Snapdragon 8150 clubbed with 4GB or 6GB RAM capacities. Users may also get two options to choose from based on 64GB and 128GB storage variants.
Finally, for the price, the tipster adds that the smartphone may fall somewhere in the $650 (roughly Rs 47,000) – $750 (roughly Rs 55,000) price segment.
In all probability, the new smartphone will be running Samsung’s OneUI based on Android 9 Pie.
On a related note, it has been reported that Samsung could be introducing its flagship Exynos processor on November 14. The official Samsung Exynos account on Twitter has teased the arrival with the text “Think Next. #TheNextExynos.”
