The show follows Nick Sax (Christopher Meloni), a drug-addled, disgraced ex-cop who makes a living as a hit man. After a near-death experience, Nick is able to see Happy (Patton Oswalt), a cartoon unicorn who claims to be the imaginary friend of a missing girl named Hailey (Bryce Lorenzo). Happy implores Sax to help him find Hailey, who has been abducted by a villain called Very Bad Santa (Joseph D. Reitman). To rescue Hailey, Sax is going to have to bludgeon and chop his way through the criminal underworld as Happy looks on in horror and awe. Happy! is a wild ride, a live-action cartoon that revels in bloodshed, and Meloni is in top form as the deranged detective.
