The charge comes more than a year after former WCVB anchor Heather Unruh made tearful allegations that the now-disgraced Oscar-winning actor molested her “starstruck” teenage son in 2016.
The charge of indecent assault and battery comes following a show-cause hearing last Thursday in Nantucket District Court against the actor, whose given name is Kevin Spacey Fowler. Spacey will be arraigned in two weeks on Monday, Jan. 7, on the island, according to O’Keefe’s office.
O’Keefe, when reached by the Herald, declined comment further.
Mitchell Garabedian, a Boston attorney who represents Unruh’s son, said today, “The complainant has shown a tremendous amount of courage in coming forward. Let the facts be presented, the relevant law applied and a just and fair verdict rendered.
