New Motorola patent hints at Moto Razr with foldable display

The images from Motorola’s patent suggest that the phone could feature a foldable display on the inside and retain the iconic chin of the legacy Moto Razr.

We recently came across a report that hinted at the possibility of Motorola reviving its iconic Moto Razr smartphone. Now, 91Mobiles has spotted a patent that the smartphone maker filed with the World Intellectual Property Organisation on December 17 2018 that shows a smartphone with a foldable design that reiterates the company’s alleged plans of reviving the handset. The images show a phone with a clamshell design but with some notable changes like the presence of a tall screen on the inside instead of the legacy Numpad-screen combination. Additionally, the designs illustrated in the patent filing suggest that this device could be foldable as well and the notion isn’t too far fetched since the first foldable phone FlexPai is already available and Samsung too has announced the imminent release of their foldable handset.
