Nintendo of America’s popular president, Reggie Fils-Aime, is officially retiring as of April 15, to be replaced by senior VP of marketing Doug Bowser.
It’s the end of an era for Nintendo of America, as the company’s longtime president Reggie Fils-Aime has announced his retirement. Fils-Aime has worked at Nintendo for over 15 years, 13 of which were spent as Nintendo of America’s president and COO. He’s perhaps the most recognized face of Nintendo in the USA, well known for the viral memes he can’t help but produce, like “My Body is Ready.” Fils-Aime’s last day at Nintendo will be April 15.
Marking the announcement, Fils-Aime released a special video message saying goodbye and thank you to all of Nintendo’s fans.
