Upcoming Galaxy S10 models might record HDR videos, sport vast camera improvements

One UI source code hints that Samsung’s upcoming flagships might gain the ability to record HDR10+ videos, shoot higher-res slow-motion for longer, sport improved scene and flaw detection, and more.
Though we aren’t too far from the launch of Samsung’s next-generation flagship Galaxy smartphones, information does not seem to stop leaking about the devices and the purported features they will come with. Be it leaks in full showing off the lineup, near-final official renders giving a full view of the devices or leaks pointing at possible specs through benchmarks, a lot is already our of Samsung’s bad with regards to the devices. However, a lot about the camera prowess of these handsets wasn’t known, which seem to have also been let out of the bag thanks to code found in the Android Pie based One UI software.
The code points to some significant improvements to current capabilities, in addition to new features that will make it to these devices. Some of them include higher-resolution super slow motion capture for longer duration, a Best Shot feature that snaps a picture when the camera detects that it can get a good shot, added functionality to Live Focus, native document scanning support, HEIF format capture support, improved scene recognition and suggestions, improved flaw detection and scene optimization, a ‘Super steady’ video mode, and more.
