Apex Legends has had a busy first week or so.
From pre-release leaks to surprise launch, it all seemed over very quickly. Suddenly Apex Legends was upon us. But for an EA game featuring loot boxes – an unholy union for angry, video game YouTube – nobody really knew how well it was going to be received. It also has a really terrible name.
Then people started playing it, and they rather liked it.
So many people, in fact, that Respawn CEO and founder Vince Zampella today announced that Apex Legends has picked up over 25 million players since launch.
