We prefer to let our customers watch our content on our service. We have chosen not to integrate with their [Apple’s] service, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said.
Apple is hosting a special event at the Steve Jobs theater at its headquarters in Cupertino, California on March 25, where the company is expected to launch its video streaming service along with an updated version of its news streaming service – Apple News. And now, just days before the event, Netflix has confirmed that it won’t be a part of Apple’s streaming service when it launches.
The announcement about Netflix’s plans of opting out to be a part of Apple’s video streaming service was made by the company’s chief executive officer Reed Hastings on Monday during a press conference at the video streaming giant’s office in Hollywood.
