Paul likely to cast final needed vote to cancel Trump's emergency declaration

Senate Democrats may have enough votes to pass resolution canceling President Donald Trump’s emergency declaration as Republican Rand Paul voiced support.
March 3 (UPI) — Senate Democrats may have the bipartisan support needed to pass a resolution canceling President Donald Trump ‘s declaration of national emergency, as Sen. Rand Paul voiced support for the measure.
Speaking at the Southern Kentucky Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday night, Paul said that he « can’t vote to give extra Constitutional powers to the president, » indicating he would vote in favor of the resolution to terminate the emergency declaration to secure funding for an extended physical barrier on the U. S.-Mexico border, the Bowling Green Daily News reported.
