Dennis Strahle, a retired engineer from Eagle, on Monday summed up the hostility toward the twice-yearly ritual of changing the time on your clocks.
“I’m too old and cranky to keep changing my clocks,” he said. “It’s like, ‘Good grief, why do we keep doing this silly change?’”
His feelings toward “spring forward” or changing clocks for Daylight Saving Time at 2 a.m. this weekend is a widely shared hostility and it’s not just a hatred of the time change.
In many, many phone calls, e-mails and Twitter tirades to the Detroit Free Press after a story on a Michigan lawmaker’s bill that would eliminate DST ran online Friday, readers let it be known they either love, or hate, DST.
