Woods tees off in the second round at 8:32 a.m. ET after finishing 2-under-par on Thursday.
Tiger Woods was in buoyant mood after the first round of The Players Championship, dismissing any concerns over his fitness.
The 14-time major winner missed the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week because of a neck strain but was back on the course at TPC Sawgrass, Florida.
Woods carded a 2-under-par 70 and is five shots behind Tommy Fleetwood and Keegan Bradley, who currently share the lead.
Woods made one birdie on a largely mistake-free front nine, during which he recorded only one bogey. There was no such consistency on the back nine, however, as the 43-year-old recorded four bogeys and five birdies.
“I felt like I rolled it today,” Woods was quoted as saying by Golf Digest.
