Country House, a long shot at 65-1, won the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby after a rider’s objection led to the disqualification of Maximum Security, who crossed the line first at Churchill Downs on Saturday.
Country House has pulled off a huge upset Saturday in the Kentucky Derby as stewards awarded the 65-1 long shot the victory following an objection that Maximum Security, the first horse to cross the finish line, interfered with the path of several horses.
