Xiaomi unveiled today the first flagship device under its Redmi sub-brand, the K20 Pro powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC along with the standard K20. Both phones will be available on June 1.
After a couple of teasers, Xiaomi formally announced today the Redmi K20 series comprising a standard model and the K20 Pro, which is the first flagship device under its Redmi sub-brand. The new range of smartphones was unveiled in China along with the entry-level Redmi 7A and the RedmiBook 14.
Both the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro sport a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with support for an in-display fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi also noted that the K20 Pro is the industry’s first smartphone to use a hardware DC dimming system for its screen in order to address the PWM (pulse width modulation) flickering problem and enhance picture color accuracy.
