House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Sunday said she does not have confidence in Dr. Deborah Birx, the Coronavirus Response Coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force, after reportedly slamming her behind closed doors on Friday. “It is deeply irresponsible of Speaker Pelosi to repeatedly try to undermine & create public distrust in Dr Birx, the top public health professional on the coronavirus task force,” tweeted Alyssa Farah, the White House’s director of strategic communications.
