County data showed 164 patients were hospitalized, with 60 in ICUs on Oct. 15.
The Orange County Health Care Agency reported 153 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, Oct.15, increasing the cumulative total to 56,436 cases. The county has had an estimated 5,462 cases in the last 30 days. There were 31 news deaths reported from the coronavirus as of Thursday, and a total of 50 deaths in the last two reports, but county health officials noted that doesn’t mean those deaths all occurred in the past two days. The county has had 1,391 deaths related to the virus reported to date. Of the deaths in Orange County,513 were skilled nursing facility residents,108 were in assisted living facilities and four was listed as homeless.
