Google Pixel 5 owners earlier reported a gap between the phone’s screen and frame. The company, in a response, calls it a normal part of design.
We reported earlier that there are some Google Pixel 5 owners who saw a gap between the phone’s display and frame. The gap issue raised concerns of many users and also questioned the IP68 water resistance rating of Pixel 5. In response to the reports submitted by users on Google Pixel forums, the company just said that the visible gap between the display and frame of the Pixel 5 phone is part of design. Google in a way dismissed all the complaints regarding Google Pixel 5 gap issue. The company rather called it « a normal part of the design of your Pixel 5. » Google furthermore said that the noticeable vent between the screen and frame will have no effect on the water and dust resistance of the Pixel 5 smartphone.
