Muncie man pleads guilty in crash that killed motorcyclist

A Muncie man has pleaded guilty to fleeing after he struck and killed a local motorcyclist.
MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man has admitted to fleeing after he struck and killed a local motorcyclist. Rickey Lee Griffin,55, in recent days pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a traffic accident resulting in death, a Level 3 felony carrying up to 16 years in prison. Authorities had alleged Griffin was intoxicated and driving a Lincoln Town Car southbound on Madison Street last May 3 when he struck from behind a motorcycle operated by Charles C. Brown,68, of Muncie. Brown, pinned under the car and dragged for several yards, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to Delaware County Coroner Rick Howell.
