The new SSD is projected to go on sale this month
Samsung has just announced the new 870 EVO SSD, a new storage solution coming with capacities of up to four terabytes. The new 2.5-inch SSD supports the SATA 6Gbps interface and is available for purchase in multiple versions, starting at 250GB and ending with the top-of-the-range 4TB model. According to the official specs, the 870 EVO SSD provides sequent read speeds of up to 560 MB/s, while the write speed reaches 530 MB/s. “The Samsung 870 EVO features the company’s latest V-NAND and controller, allowing it to reach the maximum SATA sequential read and write speeds of 560 and 530MB/s, respectively.
