It has been ruled by a Santa Clarita coroner that a contestant on the TBS competition show Wipeout, who died last fall after finishing the obstacle course, had succumbed to a heart attack. Michael Paredes,38, was treated by medics on the set of the TBS show on November 18. After on-site medical personnel deemed that his condition was above their heads, he was transported to the hospital where he died the very next day.
