Rock musician Ted Nugent, an outspoken coronavirus-denier and conspiracy theorist who has refused to take the vaccine, announced he has tested positive for Covid-19, acknowledging he has been suffering greatly from flu-like symptoms for the past 10 days, declaring: « I thought I was dying. » Nugent, a staunch supporter of ex-President Donald Trump, has denied even the pandemic’s existence over the past year. « It’s not a real pandemic, and that’s not a real vaccine, » he said during a Facebook live video last Christmas. In August, he parroted a debunked conservative conspiracy theory by claiming the official Covid-19 death count was falsely inflated.
