EA and DICE have revealed Battlefield Portal as the latest game mode for Battlefield 2042. This custom match creator lets players create their own rounds using older Battlefield content and more.
The EA Play Live showcase today gave another look at Battlefield 2042, specifically its ambitious new game mode that’s titled Battlefield Portal. Sticking true to its name, the mode will transport players back to older Battlefield entries to re-experience their most popular maps, but with a twist. Ripple Effect Studios, formerly DICE Los Angeles, is developing this sandbox. Battlefield Portal will let players create rounds with any game mode they prefer, and then mash together armies from any of the available games’ eras, even pitting WW2 armies against 2042 operatives, with every weapon and vehicle settings available for tweaking.
