The new data comes as state governments and businesses issue requirements for employees to show proof of vaccination.
Half of the U.S. population has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, Cyrus Shahpar, the White House’s Covid-19 data director, said Friday, as more state governments and businesses order employees to show proof of vaccination. States including New York, Virginia, California and Hawaii have ordered state employees to show proof of vaccination by a certain date or submit to regular Covid-19 testing.
