Woolworths blames 'technical issues' for online ordering system being down

The root cause of Woolworths’ online ordering system going down on Monday is still being investigated.
Supermarket giant Woolworths has issued an apology after « technical issues » left its online ordering system on its website and mobile apps offline on Monday morning. The online ordering system went down at 7.30am AEST and was back up and running by 10.30am AEST, which left customers unable to place any new online orders between that time. « Our website and apps are now back up and running for our customers to place online orders, » a Woolworths spokesperson said a statement. « We know our online services are playing a key role supporting the essential needs of many customers across the country right now. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience the outage caused our customers this morning and thank them for their patience as we worked to resolve it as quickly as possible. » Woolworths is still currently investigating the cause behind the glitch.
