Out of the mouths of babes. Some of the most heart-tugging moments of Saturday’s 9/11 commemoration came when young children — all born long after the deaths of the grandparents they wished to honor — stood at the podium to help read out the names of the terror attack’s nearly 3,000 victims. “For my grandfather, Michael San Phillip, ” Charlotte Spero told the crowd of mourners on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza in lower Manhattan as she paid tribute to her grandfather, an investment banker who worked in the South Tower.
