The Galaxy A51 was Samsung’s most in-demand phone last year, so it’s no surprise Samsung has ramped things up with the A52 5G, which released on 17 March alongside the standard A52 and A72. Of the three phones, only the A52 5G reached the UK. Like its predecessor, the A52 5G’s high demand left stock running low. Until now. On 17 August, 2021, Samsung upgraded the A52 5G with the A52s 5G – which is pretty much identical to the A52 5G, but with a better processor and better availability, including an early bird deal that bundles a free pair of Galaxy Buds Live from Samsung. Despite an asking price under £500, both the A52 5G and A52s 5G pack 120Hz refresh rates on a 6.5in Super AMOLED display and 4,500mAh battery that Samsung promises should last two days, thanks to « adaptive power-saving ». The A52s 5G is £10 more expensive, but that amount takes you a lot further as the A52s 5G operates on the Snapdragon 778G chip, compared to the A52 5G’s 750G chip.
