Duke got out to a 14-0 deficit early in the Blue Devils’ home opener against Georgia Tech, but clawed its way back into the game and now trails just 17-14 at the break.

Duke falls to 0-2 in the ACC. Duke went three and out on its first possession of the game and then Georgia Tech struck first seconds later as Jeff Sims found Jahmyr Gibbs for a 77-yard touchdown to take a 7-0 lead with 12:23 gone in the first quarter. Hindered by a holding call on first down, Duke went three and out yet again before Georgia Tech went on an 8-play,77-yard drive capped off by a Sims 1-yard run to put the Yellow Jackets up 14-0 with 6:53 left in the first.
