The 90-year-old « Star Trek » actor became the oldest person to venture into the great beyond
William Shatner had a profoundly emotional response to his journey into outer space after beaming back down to earth on Wednesday. “I’m so filled with emotion about what just happened. It’s extraordinary, extraordinary,” the actor best known for playing Captain Kirk told the crew at Texas’ Launch Site One. “I hope I can maintain what I feel now. I don’t want to lose it. It’s so much larger than me and life.” He then embraced Jeff Bezos, owner of the Blue Origin space shuttle, who was there to greet him.
