Maybe « illegal conduct » is to blame, he wrote the chair of the Federal Trade Commission on Wednesday, asking Lina Khan to investigate oil and gas companies and « bring all of the commission’s tools to bear if you uncover any wrongdoing. » The president said prices at the pump usually correspond to costs, Politico reports. « But in the last month the price of unfinished gasoline is down more than 5 percent while gas prices at the pump are up 3 percent, » Biden wrote.
