‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Introduces Two Star Wars Characters Cut from ‘A New Hope’

If you weren’t already aware, every single character who pops up in a Star Wars movie or show has a name and a rich backstory — even if those characters only ever appeared in a deleted scene. This week’s episode of The Book of Boba Fett includes a great example of that quirk of the franchise, and it’s an example that stretches all the way back to 1977. During the flashback portion of “Chapter 2: The Tribes of Tatooine,” we drop in on a totally nondescript couple (played by Mandy Kowalski and Skyler Bible) trying to have a nice time at a local drinking establishment. Unfortunately for them, they live on Tatooine and nice times are just not had on that planet. A violent biker gang are being way too loud and, even worse, taking the nondescript guy’s drink and space chips. That’s the breaking point, and the guy says, “It’s not right.” And even though that is quite possibly the mildest thing one could say in this situation, in response to a bully taking your beer, those three words cause things to escalate dramatically.
