The biggest sporting event of the year, is set to take place on February 13, 2021. That would be Super Bowl LVI or Super Bowl 56. This year, we have two teams that don’t reach the Super Bowl very often. The Cincinatti Bengals beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. Their last Super Bowl was in 1989, with their first being in 1982, and losing both of them. So Cincinatti is looking for their first Super Bowl win. Meanwhile, you have the Los Angeles Rams on the other side who won the NFC championship by beating the San Francisco 49ers (a team that is among those that have won the most Super Bowls at 5). The Rams actually went to the Super Bowl just a couple of years ago in 2019. However, their last win was in 2000 when they were the St Louis Rams. They have only one Super Bowl win under their belt as the Los Angeles Rams, which was way back in 1980. So both of these teams are due for a win. Matthew Stafford was drafted in 2009 with the first overall pick by Detroit (after their 2008,0-16 season). Stafford spent 12 years with the Lions before asking to be traded, and was traded to the Rams. Now, he’s in the Super Bowl. And has a legitimate chance at winning the whole thing. What’s even more impressive is, Stafford retired Tom Brady! As of this writing, the Rams are a 4.5 point favorite over the Bengals.
