The first Marvel comic sold for a dime in 1939, but fetched $2,427,777.65 Thursday night. Comic Connect COO Vincent Zurzolo described the anonymous bidder as “an extremely passionate comic book collector and investor” who spent big for what he calls arguably one of the world’s three most wanted comics among collectors.
