The new Vivo V25 Pro smartphone is priced at Rs 35,999, which makes it a more appealing phone to a lot of buyers.
The Vivo V25 Pro is the new entrant in the Rs 40,000 segment, where a lot of companies are pushing out new 5G phones. Earlier this year, the Vivo V23 Pro smartphone was launched in India and in just six months, Vivo has announced its successor with some improvements. Good for buyers, right?
Yes, right indeed. The V23 Pro smartphone was a little expensive, but it seems that the company hasn’t made the same mistake again. The new V-series smartphone is priced at Rs 35,999, which makes it a more appealing phone to a lot of buyers. Is the Vivo V25 Pro worth buying? Let’s see in our detailed review.
Design has always been one of the key selling points of Vivo phones and the new V25 Pro is no different. The company says that design is something that its consumers look at keenly, so it doesn’t want to compromise in this department. The device has a colour-changing rear panel, almost iridescent. Sounds crazy, right? Well, the colour of the rear panel changes to a different shade when exposed to sunlight, which is pretty cool.\
This is not something that Vivo is offering for the first time. Its predecessor, the Vivo V23 Pro, also comes with the same tech. The company says that it received good feedback about this design element, so it has decided to retain this for the new version as well. The back panel is made of fluorite AG glass and it is very slippery. While it doesn’t catch fingerprints or smudges, it is still better to use a case if you want to protect your phone from accidental drops.
While you can’t expect a high-level IP rating at this price point, it is disappointing to see that there is no IP53 rating either that many phones in this price come with. On the plus side, Vivo has chosen to focus on offering a slimmer profile on the V25 Pro. This sleek design, I feel, will appeal to users. The build quality and aesthetics of the Vivo V25 Pro are great.
Vivo has gone for a curved display in the V25 Pro. This too is based on the feedback it has received from its users. The curved display does give the phone a premium feel. The screen has HDR 10+ panel, which makes watching Netflix and YouTube videos better.
The screen is about 6.56-inch in size, which has become the standard size in phones in this price range. This is clearly a big phone. Those who have small hands will have issues in handling the device with one hand. The sunlight legibility is good enough. With a peak brightness of 1,300nits, the screen is pretty much visible in direct sunlight. The display has support for a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes the scrolling experience smoother, something that most users will appreciate and appreciate more if they are switching from a phone with a 60Hz display. You get an AMOLED screen here, which is bright and vivid. All-in-all, in the Vivo V25 Pro you are getting a good enough screen for content consumption.
